Key Systems uses web-based technologies to provide real-time access, tracking and monitoring for a wide range of assets such as keys, weapons, vehicles and cargo on desktop and laptop computers, and were interested in adding mobile devices to their supported platforms. Working with their software and hardware engineering team, we:
Designed and developed an HTML5 mobile app that communicates with custom Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth Smart) tracking devices and is able to monitor, track and report their status and location via a variety of methods.
Created Cordova versions of the app for Android, iOS and Windows Mobile devices.
Wrote custom Cordova plugins to provide Bluetooth, push notification, local notification, Beacon/WiFi/GPS location tracking and remote logging services across all supported platforms.
Created JSON-based cloud service to communicate with the app.
